Friends! The legendary 1949 Apollo Theatre on Emma is in severe trouble. The current owner, Jim Ritchie, was told on Monday that he had one month to either sell the property or begin making repairs or the city would consider condemning it at a April 22nd City Council meeting. Ritchie made it clear that he lacked the funds to begin any repairs.
This historical flagship theatre of the region once boasted a statue of Apollo in the lobby and a world class pipe organ that was used to entertain guests before the film was shown.
What do you guys think should be done in order to save this amazing treasure?
