You know you live in a good city when the Director of Parks and Recreation is physically on the ground working to make our parks better. We met Dr. Rick McWhorter and James Bassham today replacing the seats on the old merry-go-round at the Grove Street park downtown. These guys have a fiery passion for Springdale and are excited about some new changes coming to Springdale parks. Dr. McWhorter says two new parks (one on the southeast side of town off Don Tyson and one near Shaw Elementary) are projected to be completed by November 2015. These will be beautiful new parks with baseball fields, interactive splash pads, trails, and state of the art playground equipment!
