In March of 2014 we approached Lee Elementary in Downtown Springdale about their fading, 80-foot US map mural that’s on their outdoor basketball courts and asked if we could simply put a fresh coat of paint on it. With little knowledge about when the mural was originally painted (assuming it was done in the 1980’s), they were eager for us to restore the map before it disappeared entirely. We jumped at the opportunity to add some contemporary colors for the kiddos and tackled the mural in two quick days. The results are pretty exciting and we’ve heard the kids are happy with it, too.
